Our basic 10 day training program, Restore for Life, allows students who have successfully graduated from the “ Work 4 a Living” course which encompasses business and life skills, as well as a strong discipleship platform to outwork their theory in a practical work environment at the Ithemba Retail Outlets. Here the trainees are taught how to replicate our working model of re-cycling pre-owned/used articles into sellable products.
What we Teach
The process is simple and sustainable and most importantly, one which they can share with their community.
- The Ladies are shown how to evaluate, price and present and wide range of clothing and accessories to the customer and are taught how to “close the deal”.
- The Men are taught how to turn a wooden pallet into a solid and durable door and thereafter work closely with our Ithemba Building Shop team in presenting and selling a range of products to the client.working individual.
All our trainees are closely mentored to ensure that not only their ability is honed but as importantly their character is shaped into a committed and hard-working individual.
Both concepts are designed to provide the trainee with an opportunity to practically outwork the theory they have been taught and then replicate the sustainable up-cycling model within their community.
We rely on the support of individuals and corporates through our “Support a Trainee 4 Life” by committing to covering the costs of a trainee or even a monthly contribution.
Your contribution will be recognized for a tax exemption certificate. If you’d like support this project click here or for further details, contact:
